Un yoage de mille lieues commence toujours par un premier pas – Lao Tseu

(A journey of thousand leagues always begins with a first step – Lao Tseu)

Bon Voyage (A2Z2022 canvaswithrainbow.com)

France spans an area of 543,940 km², has 96 departments, of which 22 are Metropolitan regions with 34,965 communes (villages). And here we are considering only “L’Hexagone” and not the overseas territories of France across the globe! Picking up from a diverse mix of experiences ranging from…

of medieval cities, alpine villages, and Mediterranean beaches,

or say

of classical art museums and monuments,

or

of wines and sophisticated cuisine,

or

of Caves and Roman remains

or

of Chateaus and palaces

Or

of natural wonders and vibrant countryside…

…etc to name a few is a daunting exercise!

Worry not, hurry not! Let us begin our journey one step at a time.

Let’s savour the sunny freshness of the spring in one city, revisit the historic roots in another, fall in love with the magic of Noel (Christmas) in one, soak up the sun while it shines on the beaches of another, seep in the scenic views and setup of one, feel the adrenaline rush in another, indulge in royalty at one, get captivated by the wonders of nature in another and feel as well as catch up the contagious rustic rhythm of one… all in one month, one city at a time.

Trust the local insider, that’s me, to give you the best glimpses of the “L’Hexagone” beyond cliche, beyond stereotype.

See you on Monday when we kick start our exploration with the splendour of spring at one of the “plus belle Ville au monde” (the most beautiful city in the world). Does that ring any bell? Does that sound interesting!?

Click here for a sneak peek at what lies ahead!

Bon Voyage!

PS: If the time and schedule permit, I wish to take you around Lyon, the city that I love and call my home these days!
