She looked straight into it and said, “Contemplating dropping out of this open learning programme”, at the breakfast table with a grumpy tone, checking her own reflection on it.
Knowing well whats hovering over her mind, yet trying hard to hide glee, he asked, “Change of hearts? Why?”
“Information overload, no fixed schedules, repeated lectures and many a time the unverified source of knowledge. Most of my energy, time is consumed in checking/ verifying whether it is genuine”, moaned she.
“Isn’t it an open and long-distance one. Join, mute or exit the sessions at your will”, he offered a suggestion.
“Hmmm. I fear losing my connection with everyone from the bunch. I love the mix of every bunch”, replied she in a dilemma.
“Will you be able to stay away from it for long?”, doubted he.
With her eyes fixed on the mobile screen, she paused for a moment, rethinking deleting the popular messaging app aka “open and long-distance” learning program from her mobile.
“Difficult. Besides, never been a ‘Drop out’ in life” reasoned she.
“Excuses of an addict”, he chuckled winking at her, making her crack up.
And she dropped the idea of being a dropout!
