“Lo and behold, smarty boy is not ready!”, exclaimed Mr Balanced. Mrs Chitterchatter and the Innocent Baby grew curious. Post scanning the Giant Little Kid, from top to toe, they wore the bewildered faces too! The Giant Little Kid was still in pajamas…
They were getting late to the party. It was a blue Moon thing that the ladies of the house were ready well in time (do you believe that?) and not the men!!!
“India wants to know”, announced Mr Balanced darting straight at the boy. The Innocent Baby joined her father as the cameraman by enacting as if she was holding a video camera. Mrs Chitterchatter joined the fray. She acted the part of the correspondent, holding a mike in her hand and held it in front of him.
“Stop that drama, please”, came a dispirited response from the six feet robust frame, pushing the camera-lady and the mike-hand aside.
‘Something is wrong in the teen world’, pondered Mrs Chitterchatter. Mr Balanced got the whiff of the air. Innocent Baby however continued in her role.
“Breaking news…’Smarty’ is not joining the party! Why? India wants to know”, she insisted.
Giving her a darn dirty look, he just snorted. He stood motionless with his head down, leaning against the wall. Though it was the cold, last night of December, the air was growing hotter with every passing moment.
The Innocent Baby turned to mother for clues with raised eyebrows. Mrs Chitterchatter winked and flashed a smiley face at her. Moving her hands over the lips, indicating the zipping action, she signalled Innocent Baby to seal her mouth. Innocent Baby nodded in affirmation.
“You all continue and have fun”, he mumbled.
“Why change of hearts?”, asked daddy.
“Are you all right?”, asked mother with concern. Placing her hand on boy’s forehead she checked out. “Good Lord, you don’t have fever”, she said.
“Come on, speak up man! Did you have discovery of sorts…I mean an unfinished project that needs attention as the submission deadline was probably day before yesterday”, prodded daddy.
“Nothing of that sort. All my school work is in order”, he cleared the air.
“Then what?”, demanded mother.
“Cant you see here on my shoulders?”, he stated exasperatedly while scratching his head.
“Whats on his shoulders?”, asked Innocent Baby out of curiosity and obviously because he was too giant for her gaze to reach!
“Dandruff”, he bemoaned.
“That’s my eternal enemy. It shows up when I expect it the least. It makes my head scratchy and marks it presence on my shoulders…so embarrassing”
“That’s not a big deal. Go take a quick shower. You can use my shampoo”, said Mr Balanced sounding generous.
“Wear something light in colour and not your favourite, black”, added Mrs Chitterchatter.
Giant Little Kid agreed reluctantly for he also did not wish to miss the party.
Resurfacing fresh from his room, he was completely transformed.
“You should’ve worn a hoodie, instead. It would have saved time”, said The Innocent Baby, when all were about to settle in the car.
Soon the war of words erupted at the back seat! A sign of perfect normalcy…

Those were the horrific memories. But I feel for sake of experiencing it and then later laughing about it, every one should get lice attack at least once in a life time.

Humorous! Oh man, these teenage problems like dandruff and pimples can be so serious with teenagers. If not addressed on time will be blown out of proportion!
