Early into the night, its  gonna happen, rustled every leaf,
Dont miss the sight whispered the winds in a tone that was deep.

Talk of the town revolved around it,
Google Guru offered the knowledge about it.

News papers were abuzz, media had a frenzy, so was the Whats App.
Not only the little ones but old too were excited, along with every chap.

And why it shouldnt be, as someone was coming out of the shadow,
All that one needed, was a peep out of the window!

The open theater charged not a penny for this show,
There wasnt any box office or a ticketing row.

Three actors play was one of its kind,
It was sure to leave the audience in bind.

With the backdrop of cosmos and silent score of galactic,
One actor amongst the three had a part that was hectic.

Right from his entry and while sailing through the act,
He was needed to change the costume as per the pact.

Initially though, at the entry itself, he shied a lot,
We wont witness the drama, audience had a thought.

Gaining the confidence with every step he took,
Changing to the blood red, he did not miss  a single point in the book.

Applauded the audience cheerfully at this pretty sight,
The actor continued performing, glowing very bright.

He then flaunted a new shade of blue,
Was he really moving, most had no clue.

Finally emerging from the shadow with his graceful stride and full glory,
The Moon, with the support star cast of the Sun and the Earth, charted a ‘Celestial Story’.

In the journey around the Sun, many dramas unfold,
And I am marking this day of life, in letters of gold!

That was simply adorable, Anagha! The lunar eclipse! What a superb show it was! And, how we waited with bated breath while the Moon changes its costume…
I so loved your take on this celestial performance! <3

This is so creative! I love that it was in verse and that the moon was the star in the dramatic show!

Beautifully penned verse Anagha; you have captured the whole show in such an expressive manner. Hats off to the poet in you!

I enjoyed your poem more than I enjoyed the Blue moon which was neither blue nor red….. was majorly disappointed with its showing and am glad I won’t be around to see it the next time!
