“I feel so liberated, Amma”, said Vishnu as he hugged his mother Karthikeyi with euphoria and showed her the message on the mobile about his first salary being deposited to his account, with pride.

“With liberation comes responsibility, Vishnu and that means you have a new set of strings, new responsibilities attached to you. With you, I feel liberated too as I am free from my responsibility of supporting you and only a handful more to go”, stated Kartikeyi, a banker who was about to retire and a single mother, with contentment as she felt the burden of life getting lighter.

Lovely take on the prompt! It’s definitely a “lighter” moment for a single mother.

Nice one! So true, is it not? How liberation means differently to the mum and to her son.

That’s a beautiful story in three lines, Anagha. Yes, with liberation comes responsibility. 🙂
