I was over the moon. Coming
out of the dark, I was not sure as to where I am.
I was primed up with snow white silk-satin clothes. My look was complete with a hood that was cushy white
and had a handmade lily-white lace at the edges. Admiration in the eyes of the
onlookers conveyed that I looked just perfect!
I was placed at a vantage
position. The gleaming yellow lights were now trained on me, giving me the princely
aura. I just couldn’t have asked for anymore!
But I missed those bear hugs,
buttery touches, warm snuggles, cries and giggles…
As the days changed to months,
I was no more prim and proper. One fine day, I was handed over to the
orphanage. I was orphaned at the birth
in a swanky showroom!
My fate as the display crib model, led me to the company
of equals…

This is a very different take, Anagha. Tbh, I read it twice to understand. And when I did. I was like wow. This is unexpected. Extremely nice take on the prompt, bud. 🙂
