“Good news”, declared Chips, flashing snaps.

Bits, grew curious. Chips spread them on the table.

Life-Finder circling Earth has beamed these”, he continued.

“19.0760° N, 72.8777° E, India. Ice has receded considerably”, observed Bits pointing to plane wreckage snap.

“There is no green shoot in sight, though.”

“Navy plane. 2500 years from now it was struck down in 3158AD.”, Chips reported.

“Remained un-traced courtesy thick cover of ice”, he added

“Surprise asteroid attack that drove Earth to extinction and led to Ice Age like era”, annexed Bits.

“Humans, wisely had established colonies on Moon, Mars, Keppler22, well before hand”,

“Built us… humanoids, our colonies on Enceladus”

“Time to launch probing mission to Earth to check if life gets a second chance”, stated Bits.

Chips and Bits were humanoids manning “Ray Of Hope” center at Enceladus. It monitored the developments on Earth post the apocalyptic asteroid attack.

Is this a far fetched tale? Check out this article !  Earth has many surprises waiting and not so welcome guests either at its doorsteps…

Encelaudus is the 6th largest moon of Saturn.

I really wonder how these sci-fi stories come to your mind! Who knows I might’ve seen this in my previous birth or will see it in next. ?

    Anagha Yatin · February 10, 2018 at 1:35 pm

Varsh, we sure will witness it in one of the coming births and will be famous podcasters across the galactic. We will then have fan base across various planets!!! hahahaha…

What a lovely tale Anagha, too much beliveable as the was we are planning to habitat on moon and all. Humanoids searching for human traces on earth. Woah!!

    Anagha Yatin · February 10, 2018 at 1:37 pm

Dipika…you got my heart for this! I had this very intention in mind that the humanoids that we will create will come back to rescue the human life, their creator!

Shilpa Gupte · February 10, 2018 at 11:51 am

Anagha, this is one of my favourite topics – sci-fi, astronomy and ‘what if the earth comes to an end’. Your post gave me an ‘Interstellar’ like feel! Have you seen that movie? DO watch it if you haven’t. I think this is how things will be one day…people on Mars, Moon and god-knows-where, and the Earth – our dear, old Earth – lying in ruins…a piece of rock making the rounds of the solar system!

    Anagha Yatin · February 10, 2018 at 1:40 pm

Thats a great movie Shilpa, what an experience, what a story!
I wish Earth remains the green blue marvel of the universe and we reach out to exoplanets for settlements.
Thanks for visiting and sharing your views dear.

Roma · February 10, 2018 at 1:38 pm

Meha Sharma · February 15, 2018 at 12:55 am

This is a brilliant sci-fi story! You certainly are a pro Anagha. I just hope this is not our planet’s future.

    Anagha Yatin · February 15, 2018 at 12:01 pm

Thanks Meha for praising my efforts. I too hope that no celestial calamity ever bothers our dear Mother Earth.

Lavanya · February 15, 2018 at 2:54 pm

You know me:) loved every single syllable in the article and the hope after the apocalypse. Nicely done!

    Anagha Yatin · February 15, 2018 at 4:35 pm

Lavanya…thanks for such an uplifting remark dear! Thanks for visiting.

rashimital · February 15, 2018 at 7:29 pm

This was a great story, Anagha. You’re right we don’t know so many things about our planet or the universe. I loved the positivity here. Though, the planet is no more, a ray of hope can always find its way, we only have to search for it. M glad were get another chancre. N i hope that humans dont ruin the lands of moon, mars, etc like they did on earth.

Tina Basu · February 15, 2018 at 8:16 pm
