Alert !!!ย

Not at all wordless but a wordy Wednesday post ahead ๐Ÿ˜‰

31st December 2019

It was the last day of the decade and we were still in “what to do this time” mode. Here ‘we’ included extended family along with mine. Every other suggestion to do something together was fizzing out like the bubble from the bottle of effervescent drink. After many trials and tribulations, read utter exhaustion, we zeroed in on a dinner at a restaurant across the road…what a find one would say ๐Ÿ™

By the time we reached and grabbed a much silent corner to turn it into a noisy nook, it was nearing 10 pm. Our heterogeneous group had as many children as adults. Ordering the food thus was an uphill task. After much deliberation, the order for the first course of the meal was placed.

I was pleasantly surprised as in no time, we were served the fried noodles and green salad with cabbage shavings which usually are the accompaniments of mun-chow soup. However the joy was short-lived. After waiting for more than 20 minutes, turning a deaf ear to the growing grumbles of the hungry bears around, including me, was rather making everyone run out of patience.

“Don’t end 2019 on a grumpy bear note”, reminded the half spirited voice within. I paid heed to it and decide to distract myself. Tada…I made this face. However instead of making a smiley face, what I made looked likeย  a “food please”, “Open-mouthed” face.

Rumbling of the esurient soul,ย  I wish to call it, gave everyone enough fodder to crack jokes and while away the time till the food was served!

Haha…that was a fun way to keep everyone entertained while waiting for the food to arrive, Anagha! Hope you enjoyed it as much as the rest of the group did! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks for sharing this snippet and for joining us this week.
Happy #ww and a lovely week ahead, Anagha. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nicey..sometimes we have to do funny stuff to keep our mind distracted. And on a new year’s eve, when a normal restaurant also turns into a happening place, something like this is needed.

Somehow every time we try to plan something big it turns out to be just another normal day. Anyway, hope the dinner was good. The new decade hasn’t given us a good start so far.

Very sweet!

Well at least the new decade began with expectations as life always does, right! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

โ€œDonโ€™t end 2019 on a grumpy bear noteโ€- You shouldn’t have. Look how 2020 turned out to be. I love that smiley. It reminded me of when my son was a toddler, I used to make such faces with food to get him interested to food. Your post as usual made me smile.

I’m glad that you made the best of the situation! โ™ฅ๏ธ

That was one fun anecdote. Hungry bear looks adorable.

Thanks for joining us with this little anecdote, on #WW, dear Anagha.

Have a great week ahead! A happy bear one. ๐Ÿ™‚

That was a creative way to idle time away while pacifying the hungry souls, Anagha. I love that face. It has a zen appearance despite the lack of food. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is Wonderful!!

I can relate to the big plans and even bigger discussions, all like bubbles ๐Ÿ˜€
But then the whole idea is spending time together and we kind of feel at home in that simple affair.

Sometimes you need to create your own sunshine (a hungry face in this case) and you did just that. See how it changed the mood.

Have a happy weekend Anagha!

That sure was a cute face you made there, Anagha. ๐Ÿ˜› How lucky we are that our creativity comes handy in any and every situation!

he he! this was funny and this picture needed the story that you shared. Without the story – this would have been not as funny ๐Ÿ™‚ Good one, Anagha!
