“Hey torpid fellas”, called Manny, from the steering.

As no one responded, he checked to his left.  Sarah seemed drifted far away in her dream land.  Checking in the rear view mirror he found Mom and Dad with their dangling heads and drooping shoulders.

“Damn it! Are we on a road trip or sleep sojourns?”, he gurgled.

“Skies are clearing. The rains are backing out”, he informed. This time he honked, though the road appeared deserted. There were few trucks ahead and a car following them.

“That’s a sight!”, he screamed with excitement.

The scream rocked the sleepy three.  Car came to a halt, off the cold shoulder, as Manny hit the break. Manny jumped out. He walked into the open. Soon others joined him.

There was a double rainbow! Open sandy-green plateau, the bare mountains lend it a perfect background. Manny thought of freezing the moment in his camera.

As he turned, he stood dumbfounded.

Their car was disappearing fast on road, leaving the trailing vrooming sound!

I didn’t know whether I should laugh at the blooper by Manny or feel bad for the occupants of the car! Really funny tale!

During road trips I try my best not to dose off so I dont miss nature’s delights. In the last one saw a peacock crossing the road which was such a wonderful sight, wish could just capture

Driven by the leprechaun maybe? I’m not sure if grumpy Manny’s family would really mind that 🙂
