‘Together is wonderful place to be‘ is what, I thought, that this lone, soft and light like a feather, whiter than white, cloud is whispering in the ears of the under-construction tower.
Maybe its wiping the sweat from the forehead of the tower that is standing tall amidst the blazing heat of summer.
Maybe it has got some message from its companions (workers right now as its still under construction) who have returned to their homes owing to lockdown. Something on the lines of the lone wandering cloud carrying the message in the “Meghadoot”, a lyric poem by Kavi Kalidasa!
Does it also not appear a figurative illustration of the health care worker attending to the COVID19 patient in the isolation ward…I wonder.
All these thoughts rained in my mind as I stood in the queue, watching the lone cotton-like-cloud travelling across the northern skies, around midday, one one of these days, for my turn in the line for vegetables. With lockdown and an unfortunate death in our society at the hands of COVID19, we have started living life with new norms. One of it is to stand in queue for the vegetables as and when the vegetable vendor visits our gated society!
What thought crossed your mind when you saw this picture, do let me know.
Until we meet next, stay safe and stay healthy.
